Food prices: an unexpected drop and new price leaders

During September 15-21, 2025, the demand for fruits and vegetables on trading platforms showed interesting changes.
This is stated in the EastFruit review, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Experts consider the demand for potatoes to be the main trend of the week – it is growing. Meanwhile, onions remain the leader in sales, although their supply is gradually decreasing.
The number of tomato sellers has increased dramatically, almost equal to onions.
In the fruit segment, apples remained the leader. Demand for grapes was also consistently high.
In Ukraine, carrots, beets, melon and watermelon became cheaper, but prices for cucumbers and raspberries rose, experts say.

Thus, cabbage, carrots, beets, tomatoes, broccoli, zucchini, and Chinese cabbage have become cheaper.
Cucumbers, parsley, lettuce, raspberries, and blueberries have risen in price.
