This year’s summer will be even hotter: forecast of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre

This summer in Ukraine will be several degrees warmer than last year. This was reported to Kommersant Ukrainian 
by the press service of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre.
This year’s spring surprised with its warmth in March and April. Abnormally high temperatures were recorded. According to weather forecasts, the air temperature in Ukraine is expected to be 1 to 2 degrees warmer than usual this summer.
“This summer will be warmer than the last one. By a few degrees,”
– said the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre.
As for the temperature in June, it is expected to be between 19-23 degrees throughout Ukraine, with a slightly cooler temperature in the mountainous areas: 16-19 degrees Celsius.
“However, this is 1.5-2 degrees above normal,”
– the meteorologists added.
The average monthly rainfall in the summer will be within the normal range, as it is in the Carpathians and throughout Ukraine. Monthly precipitation is expected to be 49-90 mm, with 117-171 mm in the Carpathians and parts of the Carpathian region, which is within the normal range.
“It’s not that we don’t expect any heavy rains, they may happen, but the total amount of precipitation that will fall will be within the normal range,”
– the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre said.
