Cyclone from Crimea will bring rain and cold snap: weather forecast for October 9

Today, October 9, an active cyclone will move from the Crimea to the north and will cover almost all of Ukraine. Therefore, on Thursday, cloudy, humid weather with occasional rains will prevail everywhere. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“The far west of Ukraine, part of the center will avoid serious precipitation, and it will also rain in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions during the day. However, rainy cloudy weather will prevail in Ukraine,” the forecaster said.
Didenko notes that the temperature will fluctuate between 10 and 13 degrees throughout the day, with the warmest zone stretching from Odesa to Poltava regions. The temperature is expected to reach 14… 19 degrees.
In the Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, and Chernivtsi regions, the temperature will be below 10 degrees in some places, as well as in the Carpathians.
“In Kyiv, on October 9, it will be cloudy, damp, and up to 12 degrees during the day. Dress according to the forecast, or better yet, according to the weather – hats, caps, hoods, and umbrellas,” the forecaster warns.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, atmospheric fronts of a southern cyclone moving from the Black Sea to the northeast will cause unstable weather in Ukraine.
According to the forecast, on October 9, rains will cover almost the entire territory of the country, except for the far west.
At night, moderate precipitation is expected in most regions, while at night in Odesa region and during the day in the eastern, central, Chernihiv and Sumy regions, significant rains and sometimes thunderstorms are forecast.
The wind will change direction from northeast to northwest, moderate – 7-12 m/s.
The air temperature will remain autumn-cool:
- at night – 8… 13°, in the western regions it will be cooler – 2… 7°;
- during the day – 11… 16°,
- in the southeast – up to 21°.
Thus, on October 9, Ukraine will experience true autumn weather: with rains, fresh air, and moderate warmth only in the southern regions.
