“Thousands of protesters gathered in Tel Aviv and cities across Israel on Saturday night to call for a hostage deal and a ceasefire before Israel launches its planned mission to capture Gaza,” the article says.

The journalists noted that the protesters called for a joint strike against the plan. According to them, its implementation will be a verdict on their loved ones.

According to the publication, these are the largest protests in Israel in recent months. In Tel Aviv, at least 10,000 people attended the rally.

on August 4, N12 TV channel reported that Netanyahu, with the support of the Cabinet, decided to fully occupy the Gaza Strip. According to journalists, military operations will be conducted, including in areas where the radical Palestinian movement Hamas holds Israeli hostages.

Currently, the Israeli Defense Forces control about 75% of the enclave. Under the new plan, the Israeli armed forces will take over all remaining areas.

Earlier, Trump said that the decision to occupy Gaza should be made only by the Israeli authorities.
