The White House is discussing the possibility of supplying Tomahawk cruise missiles to other NATO countries for further transfer to Kyiv. This was stated by US Vice President J.D. Vance in an interview with Fox News, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“The final decision on this will be made by the president (US President Donald Trump). The president will do what is in the best interest of the United States,” Vance said.
He noted that this is the driving force behind Trump’s foreign policy and defense decisions.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke about the possibility of selling offensive weapons to Ukraine at a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine. According to him, Trump retains this possibility. At the same time, White House press secretary Caroline Levitt noted that the United States would benefit from the supply of weapons to Ukraine, as American taxpayers would benefit from it.
A few days ago, Trump abruptly changed his rhetoric on the war in Ukraine, saying that Kyiv “can take back the territories” – but he did not authorize strikes with American weapons against Russia, according to the WSJ.
