Germany intends to purchase €5 billion worth of Patriot missiles for Ukraine, Alice Weidel, chairwoman of the Alternative for Germany party and member of the Bundestag, said in an interview with ARD.

She noted that the government of Chancellor Friedrich Merz is “donating” €9 billion from German taxpayers to Ukraine.
“Our state…now wants to buy €5 billion worth of Patriot missiles for Ukraine,” Weidel said.
The TV channel notes that official sources have not confirmed this information. However, according to the German Defense Ministry, this amount of money to support
Kyiv included, among other things, financing the production of long-range weapons in Ukraine and the supply of air defense systems.
