22 March 18:10

On Sunday, March 22, an explosion occurred at the “ATB” supermarket in Chernihiv. Four people were injured.

This was reported by [Komersant], citing a statement by Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration.

According to him, the incident occurred on Lyotna Street. Preliminary findings indicate that an unknown object exploded inside the supermarket.

“Four people were injured and taken to the hospital. All emergency services are on the scene,” Bryzhynsky said.

The circumstances of the explosion are currently being investigated.

The National Police reported that an investigative team, patrol police units, bomb disposal experts, and forensic specialists are working at the scene of the explosion at the ATB supermarket. Law enforcement officials are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

Other explosions in Ukrainian cities

As a reminder, last month in Lviv and several other cities, explosions occurred near police facilities, which were officially classified as terrorist attacks.

The most tragic events occurred in Lviv, where explosions in trash bins claimed the life of patrol officer Viktoria Shpilka, and another 25 law enforcement officers were injured. The perpetrators used a scheme involving a fake call to “102” to set up an ambush.

Law enforcement identified the perpetrators: in Lviv, they detained a woman who planted a homemade explosive device in exchange for a promise to settle her loan, as well as her accomplice who made the call.

Similar attacks occurred in other regions. In Mykolaiv, an explosion at a gas station injured seven patrol officers, and in Dnipro, an explosion occurred directly inside the district police station building, resulting in no casualties.
