In nine regions of Ukraine, internally displaced persons will receive rental subsidies. The relevant pilot project was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, reports "Komersant Ukrainian" citing a statement by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko.

According to Goncharenko, IDPs will be able to receive housing subsidies in the following regions:

  • Chernihiv;
  • Sumy region;
  • Kharkiv;
  • Zaporizhzhya;
  • Mykolaiv region;
  • Dnipropetrovska;
  • Luhansk;
  • Donetsk;
  • Kherson.

Subsidies will be provided only for lease agreements executed and registered in a special database of the Pension Fund.

The standard rented area is 13.65 sq m per person, but not less than 35.22 sq m per family.

At the same time, the housing rental subsidy will not affect the eligibility for a utility subsidy.

Also, the subsidy will be provided if the family’s rent expenses exceed 30% of its total income.

Meanwhile, IDPs are returning to the occupation: the Servant of the People party has acknowledged the complete failure of state support.
