State Duma assesses US statement on allowing Ukraine to strike deep into Russia

US Special Representative Keith Kellogg’s statement that US President Donald Trump allowed Ukraine to strike deep into Russia with long-range weapons is strange. First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Alexei Chepa said this in an interview with Russian media, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“I think this is a strange statement. It is written in halftones. Without understanding that it is true or false,” he said.

According to Chepa, at that time, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy was persistently asking for Tomahawks. The MP emphasized that this statement by American representatives was not specific.
