The app will now display a weapon permit in Diya.

This is stated on the app’s website, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Prior to digitalization, the permit was a paper document where entries were made manually. Now you can generate a permit in Diia and view all the details about your weapon and the status of your request.

Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation, noted that this service is about convenience, security, and the absence of bureaucracy.

“Now gun owners always have the necessary document in their smartphone and can show it for verification or use it in other important situations. In addition, you can order an extract from the Unified Register of Weapons from Diia without using other services or going to institutions,” said Fedorov.

It is also important that Diia will only display permits that have been previously issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is not possible to order or issue a new document in the app.

For gun owners, the permit will be automatically updated if the weapon is already registered in the Unified Register. When it is necessary to extend the validity of the document, the user will receive a reminder.

To add a permit in the application, you need to

  • update it to the latest version;
  • open the Documents section and scroll to the end of the list;
  • click “Add document” → “Weapons permit”.

In 8 hours, Ukrainians have generated more than 90,000 gun permits in Diia, the Deputy Prime Minister said .

“You have generated 90,000 gun permits in Diia in 8 hours! Super speed, as always,” he informed.

Earlier, Mykhailo Fedorov announced the “Weapons Permit” service in Diia during a briefing on “Digital Opportunities for Veterans: Accessibility and Respect.”

At the time, the Minister noted that this service would be comprehensive. It will involve not only submitting an application to Diia, but also obtaining a full-fledged document. It will be sufficient to present it if necessary.
