Russian troops fired a missile at the Dnipro River on the afternoon of April 10, destroying part of the warehouses of the household goods company (Freken BOK, Smile, PRO service, Novita, Vortex, Eventa, and LifeKit) Biosphere Corporation. The attack killed one employee and injured 6 others. This was announced by the founder of Biosphere Corporation, Andriy Zdesenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Biosphere, which manufactures household goods, suffered serious losses.

“Russia writes that they attacked a ‘military facility’ that manufactured strategic products. Well, yes, diapers, wet wipes, tea, foil, parchment for Easter are famous military products. I understand that this is a “terrible threat to Russia,” but unfortunately, it cost the life of our employee,” the company’s founder said.

He added that rescuers, firefighters and medics are working at the scene. Unfortunately, there are some injured.

“This is our heart and soul. We have been building this for years. This is a big investment, our work, our team,” the company said.

russian propagandists justify the strike by claiming that a “military facility” that manufactured “strategic products” was allegedly destroyed. But in reality, the attack was aimed at a peaceful enterprise that provides Ukrainians with basic hygiene and household products.

Some of the products and production had previously been relocated to other facilities, but the Russian strike dealt a painful blow to the company. The company’s executives are in touch with the city authorities and regional administration to coordinate the response and provide assistance to the victims.

The fire is now localized. The work is ongoing.

According to the prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation into the criminal proceedings over a war crime that resulted in the death of a person has been launched under the procedural control of the Dnipropetrovs’k Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
