An explosion occurred at a police station in Dnipro: what is known

On the evening of February 23, an explosion occurred in one of the district police departments in the city of Dnipro. The incident took place in the Amur-Nizhnedniprovsky police department. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

What is known about the explosion

According to law enforcement officials, the explosion occurred at around 8:30 p.m. inside the police department building.

As a result of the incident:

  • there were no casualties;
  • the blast wave damaged windows;
  • some furniture and computer equipment was destroyed;
  • a car parked next to the building was damaged.

Law enforcement officials say that all the circumstances of the incident in the Amur-Nizhnedniprovsky district of Dnipro are currently being investigated.

  • explosives experts;
  • criminal investigators;
  • the investigative team of Police Department No. 1 of the Dnipropetrovsk District Police Department No. 2.

The investigation is determining the source of the explosion and the causes of the incident.

Series of explosions in Ukraine

The incident in Dnipro occurred on the same day that an explosion occurred at a disused gas station in Mykolaiv, injuring seven police officers. Law enforcement officials have not reported any connection between the incidents, but the situation is under control by the relevant services.

Earlier, on February 23, an explosion occurred at a lyceum in Dnipro during a demonstration of ammunition, injuring two minors.
