The adviser to the Minister of Strategic Industry, Yaroslav Oliynyk, call sign Loki, was killed in a road accident on the night of 8 September. His wife Nina was with him, who also died. This was reported by the former supervisor of the deceased, former Minister of Strategic Industry, and now a freelance adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, Oleksandr Kamyshin, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Yaroslav Oliynyk has died. He is also Loki. He was one of the first members of the renewed team of the Ministry of Strategic Development. He joined us last summer straight from the frontline. He was responsible for working with drone manufacturers,” he wrote.
The ex-minister added that the funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 12:00 at St Michael’s Cathedral in Kyiv.

Later, Deputy Minister Hanna Hvozdyar clarified that Oliynyk died with his wife Nina in a car accident at night.
“Yaroslav was a sincere and cheerful person who devoted his entire, unfortunately, very short life to fighting the enemy. This is a great loss for all of us. For me, Loki was the first colleague in the ministry, he taught me a lot, and I taught him,” Hvozdar wrote.

Tetiiv Mayor Bohdan Balagura also reacted to the tragedy, noting that Yaroslav Oliynyk was only 28 years old, 10 of which he had spent serving at the front.
“There are no words to describe this tragedy, especially when you realise how important Loki was in the work with drones and how much he did for Ukraine’s victory… He was a sincere, real, professional and humane person,” the mayor recalled.
