Emergency shutdown schedules were introduced in two regions

Sumy and Poltava oblasts of Ukraine have introduced emergency outage schedules. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference toSumyoblenergo andPoltavaoblenergo.
It is noted that the occupiers attacked energy facilities in Konotop district using “chess pieces”. Before that, the enemy launched an air strike on the energy sector in Romny district.
As of 8am on 28 October, more than 16,000 electricity consumers in Sumy region were cut off from power as a result of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.
At 09:06 a.m., consumers in Konotop district (stage 5) and Romny district (stages 1 and 2) were disconnected.

In addition, by order of NPC Ukrenergo, emergency outage schedules were applied in the Poltava region in Myrhorod, Lubny, Lokhvytsia, Hadiach, Hrebinkiv, Khorol, Orzhytsia, Chornukhy, Pyriatyn districts of Poltava region.
The volume of unloading is 25 MW.

The Ministry of Energy previously reported that significant damage caused by Russia’s massive attacks, including one of the largest attacks on the energy sector on 26 August, continues to complicate the operation of the power system.
In addition, Russian forces continue to shell energy infrastructure on a daily basis.
Currently, there are no blackout schedules in Ukraine, as there were in the summer, but as winter approaches, the Energy Ministry reminds that rational consumption will help power engineers keep the grid balanced.
