Paris prosecutors are considering two main versions of the Louvre Museum robbery.

This was stated by the prosecutor of the French capital, Laure Becco, according to the newspaper Le Figaro, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“Organized crime could have had two goals: either they committed a robbery to order, or they stole the jewelry for money laundering,” she said.

According to Becco, the version of a possible foreign trace in the robbery “is not a priority.”

On the morning of October 19, the Louvre was attacked by masked robbers. They entered the Apollo Gallery and stole nine pieces of jewelry. The crown of Empress Eugenie, the wife of Napoleon III, has already been found lying broken in the street. The criminals managed to get away in a few minutes, and a manhunt has been organized.
