Inspection at a beauty salon
Law enforcement officials conducted an inspection at a beauty salon in the city of Villeneuve-Loubet.
During the inspection, signs of illegal medical activity were discovered.
According to the investigation, from June 2023 to April 2025, a Ukrainian citizen, together with the salon owner, organized the clandestine provision of cosmetic procedures.
What was found during the search
During the search of the salon premises, police discovered:
- a large number of syringes and injection equipment;
- medical supplies in the back room.
The following were also seized from the Ukrainian woman’s apartment:
- hundreds of pipettes;
- packages of hyaluronic acid;
- dermal implants for injections.
During the hearing, the presiding judge noted that “they cut hair in the front of the salon and administered Botox in the back.”
Nearly 900 clients
According to the court’s estimates, approximately 900 clients used the services during the salon’s operation.
At the same time, as noted in the case materials, no complaints were received from clients.
The issue with diploma recognition
The woman holds a diploma in aesthetic surgery obtained in Ukraine.
However, after moving to France in 2023, her professional credentials are in the process of being recognized, which has prevented her from legally performing such procedures.
