In Kharkiv, a three-year-old girl survived a fall from the 5th floor

An incredible story of rescue happened in Kharkiv: a three-year-old child fell out of the window of the fifth floor of a residential building, but survived – he was saved by an air conditioner located on the floor below.
This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
How it all happened
- The incident occurred in the evening of August 10, around 20:40, on Yubileyny Avenue.
- The girl fell out of a fifth-floor window, but miraculously landed on an outdoor air conditioner unit on the fourth floor.
- Rescuers from the State Emergency Service quickly arrived at the scene and used a fire escape to remove the child.
The child’s condition
- Doctors examined the girl and found no physical injuries.
- She had experienced severe stress, but was handed over to her parents after receiving medical care.
“We are sincerely grateful to our rescuers for their efficient work in extreme conditions. It is thanks to you that this story has a happy ending,” Oleg Sinegubov wrote.
An appeal to parents
The rescuers reminded of the importance of constant supervision of children:
“Remember: their safety depends only on you,” the SES emphasized.
