Man throws grenade at people in Kherson: one dead and five injured

In the evening of 31 July, a 48-year-old man threw a grenade at a shop near Kherson, where people were resting. The explosion killed one person and injured five others. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the National Police of Ukraine.
The police found out that an unknown man entered the area where five people were resting. They quarreled, after which the man left and returned a few minutes later with a grenade.
The victim of the explosion was a 69-year-old pensioner. Five other men aged 32 to 41 sustained injuries of varying severity. The attacker fled the scene.
The operatives identified the offender and detained him at his place of residence. It was a 48-year-old local resident.

Law enforcement officers are currently conducting the necessary investigative actions.
The crime is preliminarily classified under Part 3 Art. 15, paragraphs 1, 5 Part 2 Art. 115 “Murder”, Part 1 Art. 263 “Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.”
