The Constitutional Court of Ukraine will soon have a new head. The powers of acting chairman Serhiy Holovaty have come to an end today, 30 May, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The powers of Sergiy Holovaty expired as he reached the age of 70, the maximum age for holding the position of a CCU judge. Accordingly, he will no longer be able to head the court. The labour relationship with Holovaty was terminated.

Now the process of electing a new head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine is about to begin.
The CCU President is elected at a special plenary session from among the judges of the Constitutional Court for only one three-year term by secret ballot with any number of candidates proposed by the judges of the Constitutional Court.
The press service of the CCU has not yet announced the change of the acting head of the court. Instead, the Ukrainian Wikipedia currently lists Viktor Kryvenko as the acting head of the CCU.
