An ambulance was spotted in Putin’s motorcade in the Chelyabinsk region: a doctor assessed the politician’s health

PROGNOSIS
On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Chelyabinsk region, and as usual, his visit was accompanied by extraordinary security measures. This time, however, attention was drawn not only to the large-scale motorcade, but also to an unusual element of it – an ambulance moving in a convoy next to the presidential limousine. The event sparked a wave of comments, discussions, and new assumptions about the Russian dictator’s health.
What does the ambulance in Putin’s motorcade hide? Does the dictator really fear for his life and who exactly is accompanying him? Kommersant investigated whether Putin will live to see old age and what will happen to his entourage.
During Vladimir Putin’s visit to the Chelyabinsk region, an ambulance was included in the Russian dictator’s official motorcade. According to the Cheka-OGPU Telegram channel, on July 16, in the city of Magnitogorsk, surveillance cameras recorded the passage of Putin’s escort, which included about 17 vehicles, including a medical vehicle with a characteristic yellow and red marking.
The information was also confirmed by journalists from The Moscow Times and Agency.Novosti, who identified the scene as the intersection of Lenin and Gryaznov streets in the center of Magnitogorsk. According to local residents, tram traffic was stopped during the motorcade, traffic jams formed, and police temporarily blocked pedestrian crossings.

Local media and eyewitnesses published a video showing public transport being forced to stand still while waiting for Putin’s escort to pass through the city’s central streets.

The inclusion of an ambulance in the motorcade has once again heightened suspicions about possible health problems of the Russian president. Investigative journalists have repeatedly reported this before, in particular in connection with the presence of a large medical team during Putin’s official trips.
Russian surgeon assesses Vladimir Putin’s health condition
Russian traumatologist and orthopedist Andrei Volna, who left Russia to treat the Ukrainian military at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, commented on rumors about possible health problems of the dictator. The surgeon said that he had previously studied the composition of the medical team that accompanies Putin during his trips:
“I analyzed the composition of the doctors who accompany Putin. There is nothing extraordinary there – endocrinologists, therapists, specialists in spinal diseases. This is a standard set for a person of his age, – Andriy Volna
At the same time, the doctor emphasized that the number of doctors around Putin does not indicate the presence of serious illnesses.
“People say that a lot of doctors means a lot of diseases. It doesn’t. He simply does not trust anyone. This is again the “tyrant syndrome,” says Andriy Volna
The expert summarized that there is no confirmed medical information about Putin’s condition in the public domain, and rumors are only part of the information war. According to him, there is currently no evidence of critical changes in the Russian leader’s condition, and all the loud statements about a “serious illness” are more of a political show than reality.
This is typical of dictators. As of now, there is no evidence of a serious deterioration in Putin’s health,” said Andriy Volna

He also criticized the statements made by some public figures about the Russian president’s ill health:
“Professor Solovey is a show. This is not political analysis and definitely not insider information. The bastard is alive, he continues to kill, and if he lives to a real old age, we will see arrests in his entourage because he believes that they want to poison or destroy him. This is a classic scenario for any dictator,” Volna said.
The Kremlin is afraid of talk of Putin’s death
Russian authorities are preparing for new restrictions on the Internet and public information, including fines for viewing “extremist materials” and using VPNs. According to an anonymous source close to the Kremlin, quoted by the Kremlin Snuffbox Telegram channel, the purpose of these steps is to strengthen control in the context of the protracted war against Ukraine, which Russia calls “SVO.”
We are entering a difficult period. It will be accompanied by Western pressure, crises, and the continuation of the JFO, which some people think is too long. But our goal is victory. And without strict control over information flows, we will not be able to achieve it,” said a representative of the Russian Presidential Administration.
The Kremlin directly points out that one of the motives for the new repressive initiatives is to spread rumors about Vladimir Putin’s death:
“I can go online and read that Putin has died. Is this normal? Our enemies are running around talking about the death of our only hope. We need to take action. And punish those who consume and spread harmful information,” the source explained.
Another source added that the restrictions will affect not only the information space, but also the ideological sphere:
“We are intensifying the fight against those who interfere with the Victory, including in the information sphere. With those who impose “false values” of the West and undermine efforts to “increase the birth rate.” The moment has come when tough actions are indispensable, the source said
Earlier, Russian media reported that a bill was being considered that would impose fines for viewing banned content, even without distributing it. Such actions caused a wave of concern among Runet users, but the Kremlin called it “necessary measures” and called talk of repression “madness.”
Thus, the presence of an ambulance in Putin’s motorcade is evidence of an increased level of security and possible medical reinsurance, but not direct evidence of a serious illness. Blocking traffic and stopping trams for the sake of one person’s passage demonstrates the priorities of the Russian authorities – regime showmanship is more important than the needs of citizens.
