The Kremlin explains what determines the dynamics of negotiations on Ukraine

The press secretary of the Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov said that the dynamics of the negotiation process on the settlement in Ukraine largely depends on Kyiv and Washington.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Russian media.

“A lot depends, of course, on the position of the Kyiv regime. It depends on how effectively Washington’s mediation efforts continue,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

He added that Russia’s position is “well known” and noted that the negotiations “cannot abstract” from the real state of affairs on the ground.

“In fact, all these components form the overall picture. It is complex, difficult, but it will depend on them (Kyiv and Washington – ed.),” the spokesman said.

Last week, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the world media at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that Moscow was ready to negotiate with Ukraine on the terms agreed in Istanbul in 2022.
