Emergency power cuts have been cancelled in Kyiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Donetsk and Dnipro regions. This was reported by DTEK, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Power engineers are returning light to homes.
“We ask you to continue to consume electricity reasonably. The situation in the power system remains extremely difficult,”
– the statement reads.
It is worth noting that today, 15 May, the power curtailment schedules for industrial consumers will be in effect throughout the day – from 00:00 to 24:00.
As a reminder, due to massive Russian shelling, Ukrainians were urged to reduce the load on the power grid in the evening. In particular, this refers to the time from 19:00 to 22:00, when there is maximum demand.
It was also reported earlier that in the evening from 18:00 to 23:00, there may be restrictions on electricity supply to household and industrial consumers across Ukraine. The restrictions will be evenly distributed across all regions.
Last night, Ukrenergo was forced to introduce power cuts in all regions. This was due to Russian shelling of the power sector. Due to the cold snap, consumption increased and the power system was unable to cope.
On the morning of 15 May, emergency blackouts were introduced across Ukraine.
