Kyiv may allow traffic on the green line of the subway during air raid alert. It is about the Syretsko-Pecherskaya line, in particular, the section near the Vydubychi – Slavutych stations, which runs over the Dnipro River.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing sources, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“Such a decision is being prepared at the level of the Kyiv authorities and the City Defense Council. It is noted that this decision is currently being worked out at the departmental level. The next step is its approval at the level of the City Defense Council,” the media source said.
As for the so-called red line, it is more difficult to do, given the length of the route above the ground, the portal’s sources say.
As a reminder, Kyiv was the only city in Ukraine where public transportation was stopped during the air alert. However, on March 21 this year, Kyiv’s public transport, both municipal and private, began operating under new rules.
It is worth noting that the subway system in Kyiv is restricted during the air alert. In particular, trains stop running on the surface.
