The tram tracks on Hlybochetska Street in the capital are to be completely replaced in 2025. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Official Portal of Kyiv.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that this year Kyivpastrans plans to replace the worn-out emergency tracks on Hlybochytska Street in Podil when he checked how the tram tracks were renewed and the roadway for cars and public transport on Kyrylivska Street was repaired.
Also in 2025, the city authorities will continue to renovate bridges and overpasses. In particular, construction work will continue on the Podilskyi bridge crossing over the Dnipro River. There are plans to reconstruct the traffic interchange at the intersection of Beresteyskoho Avenue and Vadym Hetman Street, and the overpass at the intersection of Budivelnykiv Street and Brovarskyi Avenue and the Sviatoshyno-Brovarska metro line near Darnytsia metro station.
On August 6, 2024, a large-scale accident occurred on Hlybochytska Street: a tram “flew” down the hill and smashed a bunch of cars. Some of the cars’ wheels flew off because of the collision, and a motorcycle driver was seriously injured and taken away by an ambulance.

At the time, the media reported several possible causes of the accident, ranging from problems with the tram tracks to brake failure.
