Traffic will be partially opened on the South Bridge in Kyiv

After consultations with the military, the South Bridge will be opened for vehicular traffic. However, traffic will be allowed only from the left to the right bank.

This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

He emphasized that after consultations with the military, restrictions on the South Bridge could be lifted, but only partially.

“Traffic from the right bank will remain unchanged for now. These are preliminary agreements,” the mayor said.

According to him, additional decisions of the military are needed to allow full traffic on the South Bridge in both directions, and then the decision of the city’s Defense Council.

We remind you that the first information about the possible opening of the Southern Bridge was provided by the head of KMDA Timur Tkachenko. The official noted that the bridge should be opened to avoid abuse of dubious passes.
