The funicular is not working in Kyiv: what is the reason?

9 November 13:02

On Sunday, November 9, a funicular in Kyiv stopped working. This happened due to problems with the power supply.

Komersant reports citing the Telegram channel of the Kyiv City State Administration.

“Due to a stabilization power outage, the funicular is temporarily out of service,” the KCSA said.

According to the administration, after the power supply is restored, its operation will resume as usual.

As a reminder, on the night of November 8, Russian troops carried out a massive drone strike on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

As a result, emergency power outage schedules were introduced in most regions of the country. The most difficult situation is in Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava regions.

In particular, the city of Kremenchuk in Poltava Oblast was completely cut off from power due to a strike on the energy infrastructure.
