TV presenter Maksym Nelipa said goodbye in Kyiv: video

In Kyiv, the funeral of Maksym Nelipa, a Ukrainian TV presenter, actor and showman who was killed in action on May 12, has been held. The farewell ceremony was held at the Center for Culture and Arts of the KPI, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms of Maksym came to honor the memory of the fallen defender.

People are kneeling as a sign of respect. Hromadske writes that about 200 people came to the Center for Culture and Arts of the KPI, where the deceased studied. Among them are Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, showman Anatoliy Anatolich, TV host Oleksandr Pedan and others.

At the request of the deceased’s mother, the burial will take place at the Baikove Cemetery.

It should be noted that Maksym Nelipa died on May 12, 2025, while defending Ukraine.

Who was Maksym Nelipa?

Maksym Nelipa was born in 1976 in Kyiv.

He graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in instrumentation engineering. During his studies, he was the captain of the KVN team “Polytechnic Cowboys”, which was the start of his career in the entertainment industry.

He was a star of KVN, and gained national fame and love as the host of the TV lottery “Who’s There?” on 1 1 and the popular shows “Lose a Million” on ICTV and “Rise” on the New Channel.

In 2007, he took part in the project “Dancing with the Stars” together with Olena Shoptenko.

In 2017, he joined the Diesel Show team and participated in various comedy projects of Diesel Studio.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In January 2025, he was wounded at the front, underwent several surgeries in Dnipro, and after rehabilitation returned to service.
