Newsmax Ukraine, the Ukrainian edition of the international media brand, was presented in Kyiv

On February 27, the presentation of Newsmax Ukraine, the Ukrainian edition of the international media brand Newsmax, took place in Kyiv. The event brought together representatives of Ukrainian politics, the diplomatic corps, and experts. This was reported by Oles Doniy, a member of parliament of the VI and VII convocations and head of the Center for Political Values Research, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
Among the guests were Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine; Yulia Tymoshenko, leader of the Batkivshchyna party; Oleksandr Kornienko, first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada; and Iryna Gerashchenko, co-chair of the European Solidarity faction.
What is known about Newsmax Ukraine
Lyudmila Nemyria has been appointed executive producer of the new TV channel, according to Detector Media.
Nemyria said that the channel will be broadcast on YouTube, in the app, and in digital format. Broadcasting will be in three languages: Ukrainian, English, and Russian. The Ukrainian editorial office will have 40 employees.
According to Nemyria, Newsmax Ukraine will produce content for the American channel and also use its content. Among other things, the channel’s executive producer announced a technology that was previously unavailable in Ukraine.
The editorial team will create its own news and analytical content, as well as use materials from the American Newsmax editorial team.
Positions of the presentation participants
During his speech, Kirill Budanov noted that the launch of the Ukrainian editorial office of the American media brand is a sign of support for Ukraine from the United States.
Yulia Tymoshenko expressed hope that the new TV channel would contribute to strengthening democracy and freedom of speech in Ukraine.





Former MP Oleksandr Doniy, who was also present at the event, emphasized the importance of competition in the media space. According to him, the emergence of a new channel could add “diversity” and strengthen healthy competition.
