Autostrada has resumed the construction of two metro stations in Vynohradar in Kyiv. The work is being carried out at the company’s own expense, without advances. This was reported by the company’s press service, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

The new route will have two stations: “Mostytska and Prospekt Pravdy.

It is noted that the section from Syrets station to Mostytska will be laid using a closed method, while from Mostytska to Pravdy Prospekt will be laid using an open method.

Unique for Ukraine, the two-tiered monolithic tunnel between Mostytska and Prospekt Pravdy stations takes into account the dense development of the area.

The company is currently developing a pit and installing a support system for further tunneling.

Backfill is also being arranged on the finished sections of the tunnel, and a PVC membrane similar to the one previously used between Lybidska and Demiivska stations is being used for waterproofing.

“On the concrete areas left over from the previous contractor, we continue to install a repairable waterproofing system made of PVC membrane, which can be restored even after the facility is put into operation. Such waterproofing was used during the construction of the tunnel section between Lybidska and Demiivska stations. In the finished sections of the tunnel, we are backfilling with soil,” the statement said.

At other construction sites of the facility, the Autostrada team is carrying out preparatory work. In total, the project includes 6 construction sites.

Autostrada started the construction of the metro to Vynohradar at its own expense, without any advances, the company added.

Previously [Kommersant] reported earlier that the construction of the Syretsko-Pecherska metro line to Vynohradar turned out to be UAH 8 billion more expensive than expected. Instead of the planned UAH 5.9 billion, the project now requires almost UAH 14 billion to complete.

The main reasons for the rise in price include an overdue debt of UAH 4 billion and construction delays. The auditors blame the dishonest contractor Kyivmetrobud JSC and the inaction of the Kyiv authorities.
