For one minute, traffic will be blocked from European Square to Taras Shevchenko Boulevard. This will apply to all vehicles, except for specialized vehicles and those performing urgent official tasks.

Also during this period, traffic lights will operate in the “all red” mode to synchronize stops.

The restriction will not apply in case of announcement or operation of the Air Alert signal.

On the afternoon of September 22, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, said that the blocking of Khreshchatyk would begin by the end of the week at 09:00 for the duration of the national minute of silence. Tkachenko wrote that he was preparing such an order. Appropriate instructions will be given to the patrol police, the Center for Traffic Organization, the Department of Transport and the units responsible for communications in the community.

Every day at 9:00, the memory of the fallen is also honored in the Kyiv subway, where announcements are made at 19 deep stations.

In addition, a visual message about the start of the national minute of silence is placed on digital billboards and citylights on the streets, as well as information stands at metro stations.

Also, every morning at 9:00 a.m., a notification about the national minute of silence is available in the Kyiv Digital app.
