Ministry of Culture tells how many artists have not returned to Ukraine

Every fifth Ukrainian cultural worker who goes abroad with the permission of the Ministry of Culture does not return. This was stated by the Minister of Culture Mykola Tochytskyi, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
At the same time, the head of the ministry continues to insist on his idea that travelling abroad should be simplified for artists.
“In recent years, a framework should have been created to allow cultural figures to travel abroad. But it doesn’t exist. Every day I have to review 100 applications for travel, most of these names I don’t know, and I have to spend time looking for information. I also have to note that out of five people who have left, one does not return,” Tochytskyi said.
The minister also highlighted an important problem in the legislation that significantly slows down the process of issuing permits to leave Ukraine.
Which stars left Ukraine during the war and never returned
Oleg Vynnyk
The singer completely disappeared from the information space from the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine. Later it turned out that Vynnyk left for Germany on 26 February 2022. The artist himself does not see this as a problem and claims that he allegedly left the country for medical treatment.
“It doesn’t matter who left the country and when, only what a particular person has done for their homeland is important,” Vynnyk said in an interview.
Vlad Yama
The choreographer also left Ukraine in the first days of the war. He claims that he crossed the Ukrainian border before men of military age were restricted from leaving. Today, Vlad Yama lives in the United States with his family.
Alexander Ellert
The showman left Ukraine for the United States in 2022 under the pretext that he would perform at a concert dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day. It should be noted that Ellert has not yet returned to Ukraine.
Andriy Shchegel
The comedian was granted permission to leave by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. Shchegel stated that he was doing charity work. Before that, he received three summonses. After flying to Turkey, he stayed there. As for those who went to war, he said it was their choice to “die”.
“I am not afraid of the military commissars. I define myself as a free man. I realised that I was uncomfortable here in Ukraine. And I can’t take it anymore, so I found a way to get the fuck out and live in a comfortable psychological environment,” Shchegel said in an interview.
Taras Golubkov
The director left Ukraine with the permission of the Ministry of Culture to make a film about the war. However, according to information from open sources, Golubkov then appeared in Russia, where he took part in the filming of the video “Marry” for the singer Klava Koka, who supports the war in Ukraine.
