The Ministry of Defense called for more active recruitment of foreigners to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine: what is known

Ukraine needs to actively recruit foreigners to serve in the Armed Forces. Soldiers on the front lines are paid huge sums of money by the standards of many countries.
This is according to Ukrainian military expert, radio technology consultant, blogger, and advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense Serhiy Beskrestnov (“Flash”), as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".
In his opinion, Ukraine needs an extensive network of recruitment centers abroad and an effective system for working with foreigners within the country. Currently, such a mechanism already exists, but it does not work on a large enough scale or quickly enough.
“I want to emphasize that this is not a system of mercenaries. These are all foreigners who sign a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, receiving salaries and allowances, as is customary in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he said.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense is preparing a comprehensive plan to address the accumulated problems with mobilization and cases of unauthorized departure from units. According to Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, one of the key elements of the strategy will be the wider involvement of foreigners in combat missions. Specific decisions are planned to be announced and gradually implemented in the coming months.
