Zelensky’s meeting with Trump begins in New York

A meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump has started at the UN headquarters in New York, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
Before the talks began, Zelensky made a brief statement to the press. He emphasized that the key topics of discussion would be
- the situation at the front;
- security guarantees from the United States;
- finding ways to peace.
Earlier, the Ukrainian president said he expected the meeting to confirm the promised security guarantees. According to him, Ukraine and European partners have already prepared a framework for such guarantees, which takes into account Washington’s support.
As reported, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in New York, where he is taking part in high-level events at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
