on November 18, 2024, traffic will be temporarily suspended at the Slovak-Ukrainian road checkpoint “Ubl’a-Malý Berezny” due to electrical work. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Transcarpathian customs office, citing information from the Michalovce customs office (Slovakia), the "Komersant Ukrainian" reported.

Slovak customs officers warn travelers that from 10 to 14 hours, citizens and vehicles will not be temporarily cleared at the specified crossing. The reason for the interruption is the necessary work on the reconstruction of electrical equipment, during which the power supply will be temporarily interrupted.

Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians are asked to be especially careful when crossing the state border and follow temporary road signs and instructions from the financial administration and police officers on duty.

To cross the state border, passengers can use the round-the-clock road border crossings “Vysne Nemecke – Uzhhorod” or “Velke Slemence – Mali Selmentsi” (according to the schedule) for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as the railway crossing point “Cierna nad Tisou – Chop” (according to the schedule of railway traffic).

The neighboring party notes that due to the construction works, waiting times for entering and leaving the territory of Slovakia may increase.
