The command and fellow soldiers expressed their sincere condolences to Ivan’s family. He died as a hero, giving his life for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
“Pilots do not die, they remain in the sky forever. We express our condolences to Ivan’s family, he died in battle like a hero! He will remain for us an example of high courage, steadfastness and thirst for victory! Eternal honor and memory!” the brigade said in a statement.

The 831st Tactical Aviation Brigade says that despite his age, Ivan was a brave, competent and experienced warrior who mercilessly beat the occupiers on all their approaches and front lines.
“He was only 24, but he was a competent and experienced warrior who mercilessly beat the occupier in all its approaches and frontline areas,” the statement reads.
It should be noted that the 831st Myrhorod Tactical Aviation Brigade is an air force unit of the Air Force of Ukraine. It is based at the Myrhorod airbase and is part of the Center Air Command. The brigade is armed with Soviet Su-27 fighters.
