Deputies of the European Solidarity blocked the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada and came out with posters demanding to stop political repressions against the former President of Ukraine, MP Petro Poroshenko. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

First, the MPs took to the rostrum of the Rada with posters “Ukraine is not Russia”, “No to dictatorship”, “Think about victory, not elections”, and then shouted “Shame!” and “No to political repression”.

The footage of the rostrum blocking was posted by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak. The meeting was adjourned.

“Without a fight, but with a push,” he wrote.

People’s Deputy Iryna Gerashchenko said that the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk allegedly ran away after being asked whether he supported sanctions against Petro Poroshenko. The MP published footage of the altercation with Stefanchuk.

She also noted that in Ukraine, “parliamentarism is being destroyed so that the ‘servants’ and the OPFL would vote for surrender.”

Her faction colleague Oleksiy Honcharenko said that only a few minutes passed between the opening and closing of the meeting.

Yesterday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his traditional evening address that the National Security and Defense Council had imposed sanctions:

“Everyone who destroyed the national security of Ukraine and helped Russia must be held accountable.”

The President said that the billions earned by surrendering Ukraine’s interests should work for the benefit of Ukraine. He did not say whom exactly he meant.

After that, Poroshenko published an address and said that the sanctions were imposed against him. He called the decision unconstitutional.
