A new deferral for education workers has appeared in “Reserve”

The update to the Reserve app adds a new deferral for researchers, academic and teaching staff of higher, vocational and professional education institutions, research institutions and organizations. This is stated on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
This refers to researchers, research and teaching staff working in universities, colleges, vocational schools, research institutions and organizations.
Who can get a deferral
In order for an employee of an educational institution to be able to apply for a deferment through the Reserve , the following marks must be made in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (USEDE ):
- The main place of work is at the relevant educational institution;
- Therate is not less than 0.75;
- Belonging to the personnel group of the educational process – in the field of higher, professional pre-higher, vocational education or an administrative position belonging to the teaching category.
How to apply
The application procedure through the application is simplified as much as possible:
- Open the Reserve ;
- Click on the three dots on the main screen;
- Select “Apply for a deferment”;
- Select the appropriate category;
- Wait for a notification with the result.
If the system does not grant a deferral
If all the criteria are met, but the Reserve does not allow you to apply, you should contact the employer, that is, the management of the educational institution. They should check the relevance of the data in the USES and, if necessary, clarify or update it.
What else is important to know
This week, a deferral was also added for people whose spouse has a disability group 1 or 2.
In general, the Reserve application has been available since November 2023, and today 40% of all deferrals are issued through it.
