Power supply in Slavutych has been fully restored, which was cut off due to a Russian attack on January 5, the head of the regional military administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, reports [Komersant].
“Slavutych has electricity. The power supply in the city has been fully restored, people’s homes are powered again,” he wrote in a telegram.
According to the UWA, on January 5, almost 8,500 families in Slavutych were left without electricity due to Russian shelling.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Russia has been striking at Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Since the beginning of the fall of 2025, Russian troops have intensified shelling of Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which supplies people with gas during the heating season.
According to the Ministry of Energy, as of December, the Russian military has attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure 4500 times since the beginning of 2025.
