Water is back in the capital: supply restored
21 January 11:14
In the capital, specialists from Kyivvodokanal and the energy sector have fully restored the water supply after completing repair work on water supply facilities.
This was reported by [Komersant] with reference to a statement by Kyivvodokanal.
As of the morning of January 21, repair crews, together with energy companies, had eliminated the consequences of the damage, allowing all key water supply nodes to be restarted. Currently, the city’s facilities are operating normally.
The service reminded residents of high-rise buildings that the water supply depends on the availability of electricity.
“Water is supplied to the upper floors by separate booster pumps, which will not work in the absence of electricity. Therefore, the upper floors may not have water supply, even if the service has already been restored in your area,” the post said.
As a reminder, due to constant attacks by the Russian Federation, a state of emergency has been declared in the country’s energy sector. The most difficult situation is currently in Kyiv, where serious problems with heat, water, and electricity arose after the occupier’s strikes on January 9 and subsequent attacks.
Since January 15, a special headquarters has been operating in the capital, created on the orders of the president to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
