The former head of the illegal Russian administration, Manolis Pilavov, was killed in the temporarily occupied Luhansk. This was reported by Russian propaganda media, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs
On the morning of July 3, an explosion occurred in an administrative building on Taras Shevchenko Street. One person was killed and three others were injured.

Subsequently, Russian propaganda confirmed that Pilavov, who headed the occupation “administration” in Luhansk from August 2014 to November 2023, was eliminated.
Pilavov was eliminated by the Security Service of Ukraine, LB.ua writes, citing sources in the SBU.
Pilavov was one of the ideologues of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic, an associate of the Gauleiter Plotnitsky. He also personally participated in the overthrow of the state system.
“Since 2015, the so-called ‘head of the Luhansk administration’ has been wanted under Article 109 of the Criminal Code (actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order, seizure of state power), and since 2022 he has been under Ukrainian sanctions. He did not survive the final “sanctions” from the SBU,” the SBU said.
Before betraying Ukraine, Pilavov held various positions. In 2006, he became the first deputy mayor of Luhansk, and in 2009 he became the president of the city’s Football Federation and held the same position at the Zarya football club.
Pilavov is wanted in Ukraine and sanctions have been imposed on him.
