During a phone call with EU leaders, US President Donald Trump looked tired and irritated after meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to the text, the phone call took place at about 3 a.m. CET (5:00 a.m. Kyiv time). Trump told the European leaders that he had worked 24 hours straight and “appeared tired and irritated with Putin, according to officials involved in the call,” the WSJ writes.
According to them, Trump also said that he would consider immediate sanctions against Russia only if the trilateral talks do not lead to progress toward peace.
On Friday, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump held a full-scale meeting for the first time in seven years. The summit was held at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base in Alaska and ended with statements of “significant progress” but no agreements signed.
