Radical Party leader Oleh Lyashko, who is currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has been appointed commander of the unmanned systems battalion of the 63rd Separate Mechanised Brigade because he has proven himself well during his service. This is stated in the statement of the 11th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“Due to numerous media inquiries regarding certain personnel decisions, we would like to inform you that the decision to move Lieutenant Lyashko Oleh Valeriyovych to the position of commander of the unmanned systems battalion of the 63rd Airmobile Brigade was made on the basis of a request and a plan for the relocation of the commander of the 63rd Airmobile Brigade,” the statement said.

According to the brigade, during his two years of service, Lyashko proved to be an expert in the field of unmanned systems.

“During his tenure in positions related to unmanned systems, work was organised to repel a significant number of mechanised assaults, and hundreds of pieces of equipment and enemy manpower were destroyed,” the brigade said.

In September, the unmanned systems battalion of the 63rd Brigade was ranked among the top 10 units in terms of efficiency in destroying enemy forces and equipment.

“Taking into account the above, the command of the 63rd separate mechanised brigade and the 11th army corps made an appropriate personnel decision to appoint Lieutenant Oleh Liashko to the position of commander of the unmanned systems battalion of the 63rd separate mechanised brigade,” the statement concluded.

It should be noted that Lyashko’s appointment was commented on in a number of military Telegram channels.

Oleh Lyashko himself did not comment on the appointment.

As a reminder, in October 2022, former MP Lyashko announced that he had joined the Ukrainian army. The politician posted a video of the oath on Facebook.
