12 September 12:42

On the night of September 10, the Russian army struck Volochysk in Khmelnytsky region, completely destroying the Goldi-Lenokombinat garment factory. The loss was reported by the owner of the Textile-Contact group of companies, Oleksandr Sokolovsky, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

“It looks like one of the enemy’s goals is to hit production. Anything to deplete our economy. Unfortunately, this is sad news for the industry, where dozens of enterprises have already been destroyed.
And last night another peaceful garment factory was damaged by enemy shelling. It happened in the town of Volochysk, Khmelnytsky region. This is one of the production facilities of the well-known clothing chain GOLDI-LNOKOMBINAT, which sells only products of its own Ukrainian production,” said Sokolovsky.

He also added that the company’s founder, Oleg Chervonyuk, promised to restore the factory despite the difficult circumstances:

“Because we have more than 100 experienced employees. And the main capital of any manufacturing enterprise is not buildings and equipment, but people.”

Government response

The attack on the factory on the night of September 10 was previously reported by the head of the Khmelnytsky Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tyurin, but the details were not disclosed at the time.

Goldi-Lenokombinat is one of the largest Ukrainian clothing brands.
It has more than 40 stores across Ukraine, including in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy, Poltava and other cities.
The company employs over 1200 people.
The Volochysk factory was one of the key production bases where civilian assortment such as hoodies, shirts, blouses, and skirts were sewn for decades.
In 2017, the brand entered the European market by opening stores in Warsaw and Wroclaw.
