Strike on Kharkiv: number of wounded rises to 79

In Kharkiv, the number of victims of the Russian occupiers’ attack has increased. This was announced by Mayor Igor Terekhov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“The number of victims increases almost every hour. Currently, there are 79 of them,” he said.
According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, dozens of people were injured and suffered acute shock. Among the victims are four girls aged 3, 4, 14 and 16, as well as a 17-year-old boy.
In addition, there is a victim of Russian shelling in Kharkiv – a 79-year-old man was killed. He was in his apartment at the time of the missile attack.
The prosecutor’s office reported that the occupiers fired three Iskander ballistic missiles at the Osnovyansky district of Kharkiv.











According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the strikes on Kharkiv were carried out by ballistic missiles with cluster munitions. During the inspection, law enforcement officers found that the enemy missile was detonated in the air to hit a larger area and objects.
Hits were recorded in a residential area among apartment buildings. Another missile hit a civilian enterprise, causing a fire.
“The shelling damaged more than 50 apartment buildings and more than 30 cars,” said a representative of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office.
According to the State Emergency Service, the shelling in Kharkiv damaged multi-storey residential buildings, an educational institution, and cars. The roof of a two-story building, a workshop and a building caught fire on the territory of the enterprise. The fire spread over an area of about 450 square meters.
