Strike in Kharkiv: 11-year-old boy killed

An 11-year-old boy died in Kharkiv as a result of an air strike on a nine-story building . Doctors tried to resuscitate the child for half an hour. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov.

As of now, 29 people have been injured.

The boy was unblocked from the rubble with severe head injuries and fractures. Despite the efforts of doctors, they failed to save the child.

“The boy killed by the terrorist country was 11 years old. He was unblocked from the rubble with severe head injuries and fractures. Doctors performed resuscitation for more than half an hour. Unfortunately, they failed to save the child,” said Syniehubov.

Another child is under the rubble.

In total, rescuers are looking for two people.

Meanwhile, the regional prosecutor’s office reported that there are probably two dead.

“Parts of bodies can be seen under the rubble, these people do not show signs of life,” Dmytro Chubenko, a spokesman for the regional prosecutor’s office, told Suspilne .

He also noted that the voices of other people can be heard under the rubble – the rescue operation continues.

Suspilne also quotes the mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, who said that it is not known how many people may be under the rubble of the destroyed building. According to him, this is a very complex facility, it has serious damage – slabs and floors are now without supports, which creates additional risks.

The mayor also said that the fire is still going on, and the number of victims has increased to 30.
