Russian attack on Kyiv: there are dead, children among the wounded

On the night of Wednesday, May 7, Russia attacked Kyiv with Shaheds. The attack resulted in the fall of debris, which caused fires, deaths and injuries. This was reported in their Telegrams by the head of the KCIA Timur Tkachenko and Mayor Vitali Klitschko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
As of 7 am, there are 2 dead and 8 injured, including 4 children. Four victims were hospitalized, four more were treated on the spot.
At 1 a.m. , a large explosion occurred in the capital . According to Klitschko, a fire broke out in the warehouses of the Solomyansky district over an area of about 300 square meters after the rocket fragments fell.
At 4 a.m., during the third nightly alert, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of drones in the capital, after which explosions were heard in the city. In addition, air defense was reported in the Kyiv region.
Consequences of Russian attacks:
- Dniprovsky district
A UAV fragment fell on a residential building. There is partial destruction of the top 2 floors of the residential building. There are 5 victims of the attack. Details of the attack are being established.
- Svyatoshynskyi district
Debris fell on a 10-story residential building. This caused fires in several apartments. There is no information about the victims.
- Solomyansky district
A UAV debris was recorded falling in the area of non-residential buildings. There was no fire.
- Shevchenkivskyi district
Debris fell on a residential building and a supermarket. There is a fire. Details are being investigated. According to the State Emergency Service, the bodies of 2 people were found during the firefighting. The fire has been extinguished.
The SES published the consequences of the Russian attack on Kyiv. Rescuers worked in Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi and Dniprovskyi districts.
At 04:36 today, the operational dispatch service of Buchansky district received a report that in the village of Sofiyivska Borshchahivka, as a result of an enemy UAV attack, a fire and destruction of structures occurred on the 2nd floor of a 10-storey residential building in one of the residential complexes.
No casualties were found at the scene. The State Emergency Service engaged 10 rescuers and 3 vehicles to eliminate the consequences.
