Russian strike on Kyiv: entrance to a high-rise building destroyed, some dead

The Russian attack on Kyiv killed 5 people and injured thirteen others. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv State Emergency Service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
During the Russian massive shelling with missiles and drones, residential areas, hospitals, and Kyiv’s sports infrastructure came under fire. Shevchenkivskyi, Podilskyi, Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, and Darnytskyi districts were affected. The most severe consequences are in Shevchenkivskyi district, said Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
“An entire entrance of a residential high-rise building was destroyed. As of now, there are 5 dead. Rescuers rescued 10 wounded people. Everyone is being provided with medical and psychological assistance. The rubble is being cleared. According to our data, there are still people under the rubble,” emphasized Klymenko.

As a result of the falling debris, cars and a bus stop are burning in the area. Medics are being called in Shevchenkivskyi district. Preliminary, there are fires in two locations. Two people were injured.
In addition, the infrastructure of the Svyatoshyn metro station was damaged as a result of the Russian attack. As of 6 a.m., one of the station’s exits – to Chornobayivska Square (Heroiv Brestu), towards the bridge – has been suspended. Other entrances/exits are operating normally. The station’s schedule has not been changed – the subway operates without interruption.
10 people, including 2 children and a pregnant woman, were rescued by the emergency services.
At the same time, the entrance from the fifth to the first floor in Shevchenkivskyi district was destroyed.










Klymenko also added that residential and medical infrastructure in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region, was also damaged by shelling. 1 person was killed and 8 wounded. Two rescuers were injured while eliminating the consequences of the shelling.
