This was reported by Komersant ukrainskyi https://www.komersant.info/ citing a statement by Andriy Gota, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Centrenergo, in a commentary to Interfax-Ukraine.

The hits caused a large-scale fire in the turbine shop.

The company is currently working to localise the fire.

All employees who were on shift during the shelling are alive.

Trypillia TPP is the most powerful power plant in the Kyiv region. It is the largest supplier of electricity to Kyiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions.

The plant covers an area of 281.3 hectares. The TPP is located in Ukrainka, Obukhiv district, on the banks of the Kaniv Reservoir.

The mayor of Ukrainka in Kyiv region, Oleksandr Turenko, called on local residents to “close the windows in their homes tightly to avoid breathing harmful combustion products”.

He later edited the post, leaving only a call to charge devices and stock up on water.

As reported, on the night of 11 April, the Russian military attacked energy infrastructure facilities in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Kyiv, and Odesa regions with drones and missiles.

On 22 March 2024, Zmiivska TPP in Kharkiv region was completely destroyed, and on 25 July 2022, Russian troops occupied Vuhlehirska TPP in Donetsk region.

Currently, Centrenergo has lost 100% of its generation.
