Uklon, a service acquired by telecommunications giant Kyivstar, has demonstrated strong financial results in the second quarter of 2025. The taxi and delivery platform brought the parent company $21.7 million in revenue and $9.3 million in EBITDA. This is stated in the company’s official press release, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to Kyivstar, the inclusion of Uklon in its corporate structure has become an important element of its expansion strategy in the digital technology market. Along with the integration of the taxi service, the company notes the successful development of the Helsi medical platform and the Kyivstar TV product.
In the mobile communications sector, Kyivstar records positive dynamics in the transition of subscribers to 4G technologies. The share of high-speed Internet users reached 64.5% of the total number of customers, up 2.1 percentage points year-on-year. The total number of 4G subscribers reached 14.4 million.
The growth in demand for integrated digital solutions is particularly noticeable. The number of customers using several services at the same time increased by almost a quarter and accounts for about a third of the total subscriber base.
Helsi, the medical IT platform, is also showing steady growth. In June of this year, 2.5 million Ukrainians used the service, which is 15.8% more than in the same period last year.
The entertainment business is represented by Kyivstar TV, whose audience grew by 21.7% over the year.
“Kyivstar made large-scale capital investments in the amount of UAH 3.9 billion during the second quarter, which is 33.2% of the company’s quarterly revenues. These investments are in line with the global strategy of the parent corporation VEON to transform from a traditional telecom operator to a provider of integrated digital services.
Uklon enters the urban mobility market
“Kyivstar officially completed one of the largest transactions in its history – the acquisition of 97% of Uklon’s corporate rights – only in April 2025. The transaction amounted to $155.2 million. This allowed Kyivstar not only to diversify its business but also to strengthen its position in the digital mobility sector. Uklon, for its part, retains its autonomy and continues to develop under the leadership of its current CEO Sergey Grishkov, with a focus on the Ukrainian and foreign markets.

“Kyivstar continues its strategic expansion
One of Ukraine’s telecom operators is consistently transforming from a classic telecom company into a full-fledged player in the digital services ecosystem. In 2023-2025, the company initiated a series of M&A deals in various areas, expanding its influence far beyond mobile communications.
“Frinet strengthens its position in the fixed-line Internet market
In February 2025, Kyivstar also finalized the acquisition of the internet provider Frinet. This acquisition allowed the company to expand its home Internet coverage, especially in regions where there is an increased demand for stable communication during the war. Thanks to this merger, users now have more flexible service packages, including mobile, fixed-line internet and TV.
Zagoriy Foundation is not only a business but also a social responsibility
Not leaving aside social initiatives, in March 2025 Kyivstar announced the acquisition of the Zagoriy Foundation, a charity foundation known for its activities in the field of culture, education and support of volunteer initiatives. This was a signal of the company’s desire to deepen its impact in the field of sustainable development.
In addition, Kyivstar is not giving up in its quest to buy Tabletki.ua.
