Ukraine attacks Tuapse seaport

On the night of November 10, Ukrainian unmanned boats attacked the seaport of Tuapse, which is home to one of the largest oil terminals on the Black Sea. According to the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory, one of the four “neutralized” drones exploded near the coastline. “The shock wave damaged the glazing on the second floor of a two-story building, a garage and a boat shed,” the operational headquarters said in a telegram message, [Komersant] reported.

According to the Russian authorities, no one was injured, and special and emergency services are working at the site of the explosion. The attack by the BEKs, according to the city’s mayor Sergei Boyko, lasted about eight hours, starting at midnight. Ukrainian drones may have hit one of the ships in the port, reports Ukrainian channel Exilenova. Supernova also claims that a ship caught fire in the port as a result of the strike. According to Dnipro Osint, which studied satellite images, one of the MRLs exploded near berth 167.

The Russian Defense Ministry did not report the destruction of the BECs in the Black Sea last night. According to the ministry, seven Ukrainian airplane-type drones were shot down and intercepted over the water area.

The previous attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the port of Tuapse took place on the night of November 2. At the time, the operational headquarters reported that the falling wreckage of a UAV damaged the infrastructure of an oil terminal located 8 km from the port and a tanker that caught fire near the pier. In addition, two foreign civilian vessels were damaged in the attack. Satellite imagery also showed that an oil spill of about 3.6 km long had occurred off the coast.

The attack resulted in the suspension of Rosneft’s Tuapse refinery, the only such plant on the Black Sea coast with a capacity of 12 million tons of oil per year, Reuters sources said.
